MEET OUR PIERCERS

Elise Ewoldt
Piercer / Manager
Transformation is a central pillar in Elise’s practice, which began in 2011 at Somatic. A homegrown piercer, she apprenced under the guidance of owner and veteran piercer Ericka Smicenski. In the place that nurtured her own personal and professional growth, Elise strives to imbue a memorable experience with gentle care for every client who seeks a change through piercing. The same threads that inspired Elise’s love for the craft from day one is what keeps her bound today — with every piercing comes potential for personal discovery, freedom to be, and unconditional love for oneself. Adornment has, is, and always will be.
Sunday - Thursday - Friday

Liz Duran
Piercer / Assistant Manager
Long Beach native Liz Duran began her foray in body piercing in 2018, beginning with working front of house at Somatic, and shortly after she entered an extensitive apprenticeship advised by the skill of two senior SBP piercers. She emerged with a diverse palette of knowledge and palpable care for her clients, as well as a goal of bringing confidence and creativity through piercing. Each piercing made by Liz is guided with gentleness, and every curation she creates strikes an undeniably cool aesthetic that is all her own. Liz is fascinated by what makes each person unique: beit physical anatomy, personal tastes or lived experiences, the individuality of her clientele is what keeps her inspired to keep bringing each new vision to life.

Jessica Crow
Piercer
From a young age, Jessica felt an undeniable draw to body adornment. After years of admiration and patience and upon experiencing her first piercing at the age of 15, it became clear that the practice of piercing would not soon leave her life. Her career in piercing began in 2020 at the jewelry counter of a local piercing studio in the Metro DC area. Since then she has dedicated time and travel to expanding her knowledge, ultimately leading her to Southern California where she joined the crew at Somatic in 2026. Jessica's mission in her work is to be able to serve every walk of life and offer the personalized experience fit to each client’s needs and purpose for entering our studio. Regardless of which piercing is being performed, or whether it may be a rite to reclamation or an act of adornment, she prides herself in being a part of your journey.
